With regards to fun, all we need are activities (e.g. sports, music, etc), movies, malls and dining places. Basically the standard stuff...
We are definitely not looking for extreme nightlife. Though if places are open till late thats nice.

South Bay offers plenty of these.

If San Jose is allegedly also boring, then...SJ=sex? Alright! Place just gets better all the time!

Well, SJ is boring if you're a single, white male. Your dating options just aren't as plentiful as up in SF. When you are married and raising a family, I actually prefer the South Bay, which is a reason we moved down here from the city a few years back.

San Jose gets a bad rap, especially from people who never go there.

Exactly. Most actual residents are happy there.

Ok, I'll ask again: what makes San Francisco not boring?

958,789 people live in San Jose, most of them seem pretty happy about it.

Unless said single white male is only looking at single white women, why would there be less options in SJ? It's somewhat "common knowledge" in the Bay that the hottest women are from SJ...
