Currently my wife is expecting, and we do not want to move before / immediately after the birth of our 2nd child. However, my 1st child is ready for kindergarten this year (5 years old in July), and we eventually do want to move to a better school district.

Could someone provide some insights as to how my 1st child could still attend the kindergarten if we move around December timeframe? Would they even take her in?

Thanks.

Sure, if the school has opening in their classrooms (usually they do) then your child can get in even if it is December. We had some kids come into our kindergarten even in Dec, Jan.
