Why don't you consider moving to the East Bay? Oakland, Hayward, Castro Valley ... These are towns with a more diverse population of people, not just the yuppie/computer types.

We are 2 years into a 4 year contract. Dh likes his 15 minute commute, and I don't really want to move again until we have to. I doubt he will renew his contract when the time is up. There is nothing keeping us here, the only thing I like is the sunny days and our proximity to sjc and sfo.
