Hey guys,

I am currently looking for big furniture stores.

I have been to IKEA but that seems to be the only "big" furniture store here in the area.
Does everyone order their furniture from a catalog or internet?

I would like to sit on a bed/couch/sofa and see the quality...Do you have any tipps or shops where I can find modern furniture in bay area? (San Jose 50miles radius)?

Thanks in advance

It depends on where you are at. I found a few local places when I was in the Tri-Valley area to buy furniture from. They had a decent selection. I probably just used a basic google search with where I was willing to drive to or look for furniture.

ACO Furniture in Santa Clara near 101 & San Tomas/Montague is huge, you can get lost in there. I think they advertise that it is an 80,000sf showroom over two floors.

I was furniture shopping last week and of the ~5 places I went they definitely had the best selection.

Agree. ACO furniture has a winde range selections, although they are a bit more expensive than the nearby Furniture Discounters.

I recently bought all new furniture for my apartment. I tried ACO but found them to be very pushy and they wouldn't answer my questions about who the manufacturer was on a lot of the bedroom furniture which is a deal breaker for me.

My recomendation is to look at several stores and find the items you want noting the brand and model. Find the best price you can and then take that to Coca's Furniture in San Jose. Thats what I ended up doing and he beat everyones prices and threw in delivery and setup for free. Ask for Henry, he is the owner and he's really easy to work with. can't recomend them enough.
