Default I want out! Help needed, please! ;)

Since my original post was probably too long for anyone to get through, let alone reply to, I'm trying again.

Looking to move away from the Central San Joaquin Valley...Family of 4...Preferably towards the coast but open to places north and west of here.

safe, family-friendly, good schools & community. . .

Advice, opinions, suggestions. . . all welcome!

Low crime level the most important factor.

My heart is pointing to the Santa Cruz area (Soquel, Aptos), but am open minded on other options.

Please and thanks!

You should probably post in the larger California forum. Also, it helps if you give a housing budget. The coastal areas are very expensive.

Yep, without a budget for a home it's too hard to say anything. You didn't even say if you are buying or renting. Santa Cruz isn't cheap at all compared to the central valley. You are asking for all the features that tend to drive home prices very high.

Are you going to take people's advice and post your budget? It may be frustrating but we can't always expect an answer in one day, sometimes it takes longer.
