The only advantage to living near Diridon is that you can commute in any conceivable direction by public transit, and HSR is only going to change the speed with which you can get to SF and eventually LA. It's not a walkable area, nor does it have a lot of services nearby. The public schools are not very good either. If you did buy near the train station, I would call it a long-term play hoping that there will be a concerted effort at redevelopment when HSR is implemented. It's not currently looking that great.

That rendering looks about as real as Logan's Run. HSR is all but doomed at this point, and any possibility of BART going to Diridon is light years away. Investing in property over there isn't likely to earn one much, since the initial price will be very high on anything, and there's not much reason to think it would go much higher at that location. Unless rich baseball fans want to live next to the ballpark, if gets built.
