Other than AVAC, can anyone recommend an indoor pool in the area (San Jose, Campbell, Los Gatos) that has a good swim program for kids, maybe even private lessons? Thanks.

I believe several YMCAs have indoor pools (east valley does for sure).

maki on bascom ave, its in a spot you'd never expect it to be, attached to the the old defunct burbank theater

its a trip for us but my twins have really flourished there. the trick is getting comfortable with the "blowing bubbles" underwater, b/c its the most unnatural and scary part of learning to swim, once they crossed that threshold they were swimming laps across our pool at home in no time.

heretoo - Enjoy! we've been very satisfied (despite some teacher turnover each summer break). Our 5-year old now loves swimming and is comfortable diving and retrieving objects deep underwater, and loves all of the teachers he had in the past 2 years. He's still attending classes there.

Why would you choose an indoor pool over an outdoor pool? It's so nice to be swimming out in the fresh air and sunshine. I suppose the main benefit is limiting your sun exposure?
