I am buying the car at lease end, that my former employer leased for me.
I paid the car manufacturer directly the residual value and they cashed the check. I have the canceled check images. Now, I learn that they will issue the title in the lessee's name (my former employer) - they are stubborn about this point. Here is the kicker -- I am seeing assertions that I may have to pay California sales tax TWICE -- once for titling over to the former employer, and again for titling over to me! HELP! Where can I find the facts on lease-end buyout procedure? HR |
