Hey everyone! I'm pretty new here and actually found this forum browsing for potential places to stay in the bay area. I landed a job in Sunnyvale california and am looking for an apartment around the area. I have a wife and a newborn daughter so at the moment, a one bedroom apartment would suffice. I am looking for a safe and relatively cheap place to stay within reasonable commute to sunnyvale. I would actually prefer more of a suburban setting. any help and advice greatly appreciated. thanks!

In Sunnyvale, you'd be hard pressed to do without a car. You'd be able to do your commute, but then you'd be enduring long rides on the 22 to the Mountain View Wal-Mart or hanging out with a bunch of punks on the light-rail.

It all depends on your budget. I would check Craigslist.com to get an idea of what things rent for. Rentals go quickly, so when you find a good one don't hesitate.
