You know what? My house didn't burn down, it wasn't that bad on the coast and it was exciting in a way. And we do disasters better than any other city. Superdome vs. Qualcomm? That's what a corrupt, liberal mayor and governor will get you. The fact of the matter is that we didn't wait for the federal government to come bail us out and who would want to trust George Bush anyway? Not me, but I guess people in NOLA beg to differ. The people of New Orleans saw the hurricane coming for a week, I saw it on nhc.noaa.gov and the CAT 5 HURRICANE was aimed directly at New Orelans.
If we're going to get into a picture war of which city is more beautiful, San Jose or San Diego, I'll win without question. And don't give the impression that San Jose looks like that when it really doesn't. My pictures of Santa Cruz don't actually do it justice. It has to be seen in person. So anyway, back to the ORIGINAL POST about Santa Cruz vs. San Jose, I again say visit each for a week. To me, Santa Cruz has much more character, it's MUCH MORE scenic, the air quality is a lot better but the more jobs in San Jose. I will say that the snow in the east bay mountains was very nice. Just visit the two for yourself! We can not make the decision for you, some like Santa Cruz, some like San Jose, but we're not you so YOU need to make your own decision. |

I've been to Santa Cruz enough in my life to know what it is. It's a nice town, but is essentially the same throughout: little shops and ethnic homogeneity. The place is Berkeley with a beach and bad weather. People there are in love with themselves and their political mindset is based in fashion more than consciousness.
Also, the mountains you depicted are the same on this side. I don't need to go over there to get that experience. |
