Now what retarded kids and their usually retarded/underachieving parents choose in terms of schools/careers, etc is fairly self-explanatory....and self-selecting/perpetuating....
This is among the silliest drivel I've heard, even coming from you.

Kids don't make the decision to home school or not. Parents do that. And as a parent, I know very well that most children, even teens, do not have the self-discipline to learn things on their own, even the ones that are very intelligent.

There is little or no evidence to support your comment about parents' decisions about formal education based upon your bald assertions.

The Wired and Fast Company extrapolations don't really apply here.

This is what happens when great or even merely good schools have a student population that is 95% Ivy or Western US equivalents bound, and the parents are 5%ers or higher.

Meanwhile in the real world, there are normal schools with the middle class remnant going to them where the quality of education is good and the test scores if not the highest are up there.
