yes, call or text driver with location in advance. S/he will pick you up from "arrivals".

I have noticed this at SJC since around July also. I have had to take an Uber Black back home, but looking for a cheaper solution.

That too. Anyway, Outlaw Uber and Lyft drivers will still keep coming in incognito. The Cab monopolists cannot stop us.

Folks, I wonder how much money is possible to make with Uber saying you work 20 hours per week during the morning or day time, and in South Bay Area only, without driving to SF and other places. Is is still workable or the majority of clients do not consider SJ as preferable trip destination?

No, you take the free shuttle to the Santa Clara CalTrain station, and get a Uber/Lyft/whatever pickup there. Or take a taxi.

Personally, I am all for verifying insurance and doing background checks.

But you have seen from earlier posts, some uber/lyft drivers drive incognito. So why not? At worst its driver that gonna get ticketed not passanger. I think we as consumers should do better job resisting cab monopoly without putting some inconvenience in travel plans.

And Uber X verifies insurance and does background check. It also requires car inspection.

I never said they didn't. I am all for it and I hope that all cities require it for all drivers getting paid to chauffeur.

That wouldn't help this person. He was trying to get to Sunnyvale.
