Hello,
Could you please suggest good bass guitar classes in South Bay Area for a person with zero experience? That's a childhood dream going to come true

I'm looking for affordable group classes, not private lessons. I will also be grateful for suggestion on which particular model of guitar and amplifier for a beginner. Thanks a lot!

Guitar showcase on Bascom, great great teachers. Jim Bruno is part owner and a voice teacher for all ages, he is the best. Long time there.

Once you learn some basics, many of the local bars have blues jams on a weekly basis. All musicians of all skill levels are encouraged to go and play. This is the best way to get your chops up. The way it works is the house band will open up and play some tunes, and then they step aside and any of the musicians sitting in the audience can go up and play. If you're the only bass guy there then you could jam the whole time, but if there are others then you would have to trade off occasionally.
