I lived there for two years, and never really heard of a scene. I'm into that kind of music, and didn't here too much of it.

ncmu.com or myspace/ncmu.com (Northen California Metal Underground) and bayareametalscene.com are decent places to look for metal throughout the Bay Area.

Here in San Jose, we regularly see heavy shows at the Voodoo Lounge and The Blank Club downtown. Look on their websites for links through the bands they book.

Doing community service for thrashing around other peoples' living rooms. Obviously it was the influence of backwards masking. Judge didn't buy it. Apparently CD's and Mp3's don't have this.
