My husband just moved to Palo Alto a few days ago while myself and daughter are hanging back on the east coast. My husbandís job is in Palo Alto. What areas should we look to rent in? I would prefer less a 20-30 minute commute.

Any private school recommendation or public would be great. Our daughter loves the arts so a school with a good arts program. She isnít into sports. Love math and science. Thanks so much!!!

Congrats! However, last time you created similar topic people shared many suggestions where to live and for how much. Did you find anything helpful among them?

OK my short answer for 4-5K budget with a job in PA: Live and go to local public school in Mountain View.

Yes, I took all replies into thought. The only thing that changed was commute time. We really want to be as close to his work in Palo Alto as possible. I know in the maps it may say 20 min but with traffic it could be 45plus minutes. He is really liking the Palo Alto Area. Thanks for the input.

Any catholic schools you would recommend? I donít know where Woodside is. Iíve heard of Los Altos. I always get that mixed up with Los Gatos. Which of these areas besides PA have a nice walkable downtown? Is San Carlos too far? Thanks so much.

Also wanted to mention that our daughter is not competitive and we can’t afford 20k plus for tuition.

I do not want to look rude but it is the least helpful suggestion for a newcomer with a limited budget. Atherton... It is difficult to believe you are not kidding when suggesting these areas and this school for a family with limited budget (I know you are not).

Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton are best options. You can rent a 2BR Apt for $4-5K per month in PA / MP.
