Communications Hill? (San Jose, Vista, Cambria: condos, how much, homes)

So I was in SJ early this morning for a job exam and I noticed what appeared to be condos up on Communication Hill. I haven't been to SJ in a while so I was curious. I got luck because I figured I could get to them by turning off 87 and making a left on Capitol Expressway. I turned left on Vistapark Dr and it actually led me right up the hill (I accidently found my way up there).

Anyway, it was REALLY nice up there. I don't know how long the condos (i guess that's what they were) have been up there. The views, especially the view of Downtown SJ, were awesome! I wouldn't mind living up there.

Which brings me to the questions. Since I didn't have time to stop and find out, does anyone know about how much a place up there is going for? Also, it looked like a nice, safe, new neighborhood, but how's the neighborhood below it, off of Vistapark Dr.?

Yeah, I like that area too. It's kind of on the border between Blossom Valley, Willow Glen, and Cambrian, and has some of the advantages of all three. This is on the low end for the area:

I actually live right up the street from Communications Hill, (which is beautiful by the way). It is, however, somewhat pricy. On average these condo's run somewhere in the neighborhood of about $590,000. The only downside is that the closer you go in the direction of Pearl Ave. the worse the neighborhood gets. A little run-down and typically the SJPD are seen frequenting the area. Still, all in all, Tuscany Hills/ Communications Hill is a beautiful location and full of working people/families.

On Craigslist, it shows up under Almaden, Willow Glen and Cambrian.

I finally drove up there after doing an appraisal down at the southern slope near Capitol Expressway. I was very impressed with the style of the developments and also with the density. The views lived up to my expectations, offering great panoramas. I'd also never seen that tower so intimately before. I hope the access expands to all directions, so that it can become a more central community.
