Hi! I'm new to this forum.
I might move to California to accept a job in Soquel near Santa Cruz.
How bad is the daily commute from downtown LG to Soquel?
Getting there by 8AM and leaving by 5PM.

Google maps say 40 min.

I see a bunch of old posts asking about the opposite direction, which I see is terrible.

Los Gatos to Soquel is the reverse commute - you would be going to opposite direction of 90% of humanity.

It shouldn't be a problem, except when there's a roadway issue (accident is the most common) - there's really no easy alternate route that won't take 3 times as long through the mountains.

Just curious....why would you accept a job in Soquel and choose to live in Los Gatos ?

Good point. If you can afford Los Gatos, I'd be looking for places in Aptos instead.

But maybe the OP has family s/he can sponge off of who are in LG...
