Hello Folks,

We are looking at new homes coming up near Eastridge mall loop area on Quimby road. There are 250 new homes coming up. Any feedback or experiences to share about this area and the general safety? We looked up crime rates near the mall, lot of reports of issues of shooting, burglaries, fights etc.

Nearest address 2240 Quimby Rd, San Jose, CA 95122

Thanks.

That part of SJ is generally considered to be a somewhat sketchy part of town. There are worse parts of East SJ, but I'd still consider that particular area to be very "transitional". It's close to some high-crime parts of town but is also close to some nice parts as well.

i saw those homes, they are like $1mil
in the motha-fing EAST SIDE SAN JOSE.

i mean shoot, tracy, CA and mountain house new homes are easily in the $600s

Although keep in mind, despite the bad reputation of ESSJ, its still relatively safe compared to cities in the east bay like hayward, richmond, oakland obviously

It's been awhile since I did my last drive-by shooting there. I'm kindof bored with it now. Area should be safe.

Not sure what schools this address is zoned to. If not Evergreen schools, then I would propose SP78 townhomes, (sp78sanjose dot com) just north of DTSJ as an alternative. Cheaper by 10% and in my opinion will increase more if Google comes here. It is next to a TBC park and a TBC office tower
