My sister lives at the Avalon Silicon Valley and enjoys it, says it's the nicest place she ever lived.. ApartmentRatings.com is a good resource to find the major complexes, addresses and contact info as well as tenant reviews (which should be taken with a grain of salt).

I lived in Archstone in West san jose there seemed to be a good amount of indians that lived there, kind of expensive 1600 for 2 bedroom 2 bath but as for 1 bedrooms not sure. they are always looking for more people to move in so check it out if you want.

Is that really all they're charging for a 2/2? The Archstone in San Bruno charges up to $2370 for a one-bedroom!!

Yep, you can't even get a 1BR/1BA in Archstone Santa Clara for $1600 at this time.

There are also many indians living in Union City. The rent for a one bed room is in the $1,200 - $1,500 range.

Lots of reasonably priced apartments in Sunnyvale and Santa Clara. Fremont, Union City etc have lots of Indians as well, but if you are working in San Jose, the commute from those place may be long.
