Default Marina California area

Looking for climate infor on Marina/Salinas California area. Is the weather good enough that they play softball year around? Does the sun shine?

It can get foggy like much of the coast, but it's not really that cold. Plus, there are awesome sand dunes to make up for it.

We call it room temperature year round, though of course it really isn't quite that. Outdoor sports are played all year. Very, very few folks here have A/C in their homes, or even swamp coolers, because they're not needed. And the few heat waves we have each year last about 2.5 days, on average. And even then, they cool down after 3 PM. When the off-shore sea breeze comes up.

Marina has a little more "fog" than Salinas, but central coast fog is not like Tule fog in the San Joaquin valley. Much less dense, nor does it usually last more than an hour or two - not like weeks at a time in Fresno - Visalia. But the sun usually shines somewhere in the area every day.

If softball players are as tough as golfers, then "Yes", they should be able to play softball all year round.
