Good Apartment complex in Sunnyvale/Surrounding areas
All,
Which is a good apartment (2BR/2BA) complex to stay if office is in sunnyvale?
I would prefer gated community, pool, fitness center, tennis court and less commute time to sunnyvale within 2K rents.
Please respond.
Thanks

Never lived there, but as I recall, the Avalon Bay Silicon Valley on Lakeside Dr. in Sunnyvale was gated and had a lot of amenities. Might be worth a look.

This may not be your thing, but it's a little bit lesser known option, so I thought you might want to know:
You can rent mobile homes from a couple of places in Mountain View, not far from Sunnyvale. The two parks that I know of are called Sahara and El Dorado. You can rent a 2br 2ba unit around 1k sq ft. for about $1500 a month. The upside is that you will get a pool clubhouse, and fitness center in a very convenient locale and that it's detached living. The downside is that it's a mobile home park, nice, but not the swankiest place around. Oh, and they usually offer month-to-moth options.

From the brusque style of your communications, I assume you are management class. I'm very familiar with the tone. And from that, I am pretty sure you'll want to pony up a little more to get into the truly corporate-class lodging - not much, but it will sting a little. If you don't mind that, then there are a lot of really nice complexes in the northern part of Sunnyvale.

Nice grounds and features, but very old and crusty buildings. These look a lot newer and better:

Not Mission Pointe, I do know someone who lived at Fair Oaks West and was not impressed. My sister lives at Avalon at 101 & Lawrence Expwy and says it's very nice there.

Check out the Americana apts near the intersection of Hwy 85 and El Camino Real (Hwy 82). It's on the Mountain View/Sunnyvale border and there is plenty of shopping nearby. Never lived there, but have been in the building and it looks nice.
