At Gilroy they had me basically go around the block.. marked me off for going 3 mph over the limit in a school zone but didn't ask me to parallel park (not necessary in that area), but I still got my license easily. The roads are wide and easy to navigate around there, though there is a fair bit of traffic.

Default Driving test in San Jose

Hi,
I am going to take the driving test in San Jose and I assume you should have taken the test by now. Please can you tell me the route and also if they ask to parallel park. If you know of the critical errors they check , please tell me that too. Any help appreciated.

Thanks & Regards
John

I am going to take road test at San Jose DMV soon. Can anyone kindly share with me the test route? I appreciate![/quote]

Default Gilroy

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I failed twice in Santa Clara. Now I've booked the test in Gilroy. Did you take any driving lessons ? Do you remember the test route ?

Regards,
Masooma

No offense, but if you can't pass the test, I don't want you on the road.

I took it last year and it was really easy (well, for me at least): basically no hwy testing, just pure residential stuff. No parking too. If you've been driving before, don't sweat it.

man, i'm not trying to be a jerk but what parts do people usually fail on? no highway testing or parallel parking... is it the k turn? running red lights? lol

if all you have to do is drive around residential then i just can't see how someone could fail. i guess people are just taking the test cold but still...

Did you take the test and pass? My daughter is going for hers at the end of the month and I'm just trying to figure out where to have her practice driving the night before and that morning since we don't live near there but I heard it's pretty easy. If you can let me know where they took you that would be helpful.
