Brannan Lane in Cambrian, San Jose (Monterey, Los Gatos: houses, neighbourhoods, buying)

How is the Brannan lane area in Cambrian for a family with two small children? We are looking for houses in cambrian area and want to know about the different neighbourhoods. Basically if it is a family friendly area?

Do you mean Branham lane? There is no Brannan lane in San Jose.

In terms of the Cambrian area, the closer you get to Union Ave/Camden Ave/Bascom Dr, the better imho. Housing prices there are reasonable, you have some good public schools in the area and it's family friendly.

If you're close to Branham & Camden that's good. Going east beyond Almaden it's less nice, and after you cross the Monterey Hwy all bets are off, but the area you're talking about is decent, at the extreme southern end of Cambrian Park near Los Gatos. Careful about buying too close to Hwy 85, even with the sound walls they have lining the road.
