Default moving to san jose

Presently we are living in West Palm Beach,FL. I work as an RN with 2 kids. My husband also works in the hospital and are planning to move in California. We have been to San Diego, Sacramento but never been to San Jose. Can anyone please share their ideas, which of these three cities is better for us to relocate? (considering the safety, standard of education and cost of living). Thanks.

I grew up in the next town to the south of San Jose, graduated from college there, and I'll be moving back to San Jose (Evergreen) next month. As far as safety, the crime rate is right around the national average, similar to Palm Bay, FL and much safer than West Palm Beach. RN jobs pay very well in the area and are in high demand. The quality of schools ranges widely, with some very good and very bad ones sometimes just blocks apart from each other. Because the housing costs overall in San Jose are less than points north, the best school districts are also more affordable to live in. Even the tiny bit of San Jose with Cupertino schools is less expensive than Cupertino itself. It will be a shock still, and it is more expensive than Sacramento, but about on par with San Diego.

Sacramento is cheaper and has much more of the family thing going.
