Default Apartment Hunting (again). Thoughts on these places?

Any opinions on these places:

Pearl Place
5230 Terner Way
San Jose, CA

Parc at Pruneyard (formerly Avalon at Pruneyard)
225 Union Avenue
Campbell, CA

Avenel Apartments
750 N King Rd
San Jose, CA

Tuscany Square
836 Saint Elizabeth Dr
San Jose, CA

Any recommendations for places renting at less than $1400? I really want a place with Washer/Dryer in-unit.

Also, which is generally preferred? An apartment, a condo, a duplex, or a triplex? I'm assuming 1 bedroom or studio as I'm young and single.

Thoughts?

Based purely on location, Tuscany Square would be best. The Fruitdale area is a nice part of town between Campbell and Willow Glen, and it's the only one of the four that isn't on a noisy road or facing a freeway (or two, in the case of Pearl Place).
