wow, this economy is really hitting home.

my roommate will be losing his job next week, he got advanced warning from his manager on Friday.

damn, this sucks.

Sorry, it does suck, at least it appears he doesn't have a family to support. My heart goes out to everyone affectied directly with what is happening. We all are affected to some degree, but not the way those loosing their jobs are.

Yes, I'm sure it really does. I'm sure it will probably hurt you financially, too. It's really tough out there and the overall employment situation probably won't start to get better for another year.

I do have a friend who got laid off from an IT job and found another one within a month or two with Symantech (and he's older and has a misdemeanor on his record). So even though it's tough, there are still jobs out there.
