Default Redwood City to eBay Whitman Campus best route?

My wife might be landing a job with eBay at the Whitman Campus and we have never had to commute that far down before. Could anyone give us some tips on best routes morning and evening normal commute hours:

101-880-280-san carlos
101-85-280-hamilton
101-84-280

Is there a Caltrain to VTA option?

2045 hamilton ave, san jose, ca - Google Maps

Thanks.

If you were taking public transit, the best option would be Caltrain to San Jose, then 65 community bus to Hamilton & Leigh. If driving, I'd take 101 - 85 - 280 - 17, off at Hamilton. You'll most likely be in slow traffic between Palo Alto and Mountain View, and the only way around that is to take Woodside Road to 280; I don't think there would be any major problems beyond that.

Thanks sonarrat, any idea how long the train + bus would be? I know I can go look at schedules, but just wondering if you had a rough estimate stored in that brain vault of yours. Sequoia station is really close to us, so taking the train would be ideal.

There are two express trains per hour during commute times which will get you to SJ in 30 minutes.. then the bus is about a 15 minute ride. That bus only comes once an hour though.. depending on what time you're coming in, the 63 might get you in faster.

Oh, and one last thing: if you buy a monthly pass for 2 or more zones on Caltrain, you can get on VTA or Samtrans for free as well.

101-85-280 for sure. The latter part (from the 101-85 split onward) is more or less a reverse commute with the exception of the area near De Anza Blvd (Apple people).
