Hello all,

I've been reading these forums a lot the past few weeks and want to thank everyone that has contributed thus far. I am currently residing in Amarillo, Texas and will be relocating to the area by June 5th. I currently work in IT/System Administration and am hoping to pursue a similar career in this area. I will be moving out there with no job, or house. This is frightening, but I'm going to make it happen whatever it takes. Can anyone offer me any tips or advice for first time Californians. What are the chances of getting a 1br/1bth around 1200/month in these areas? Also, the no job + no verifiable income... is that going to play a huge role in attaining a residence? Thank you in advance.

I suggest getting a job lined up first. Unless you have huge rent reserves, you may be eaten alive. I'm not saying it's a rough life, but make sure you put it all in order. Best of luck.
