Default Reasonably priced places to live while attending Stanford?

I'm not at all familiar with this part of the world. Could someone tell me about reasonably priced places to live while attending Stanford?

TIA

Both Palo Alto and Menlo Park can be expensive. Cheaper places can be found in Mountain View to the south or Redwood City to the north.

Forget about East Palo Alto - crime issues, but it can be cheap. Not recommended for a single woman.

Reasonably priced is objective. In general, the whole area is not reasonbly priced. Budget will have a huge say in where you live.

You might be able to find studios or small 1BR apartments in Palo Alto in your budget. Mountain View should offer a lot of options in the price range.

Incidentally, if you live close to El Camino to the south of campus, you can take the VTA 22 bus to school. It runs 24 hours a day and drops you off at the Palo Alto Caltrain station where you can connect with the campus shuttle.

I assume you didnt get student housing.

Share a 2bd with a roommate might be an option.
