Umm..

The Alamo, and Texas revolution for one; Spanish American war; The Rough Riders which was the first U.S. volunteer cavalry regiment; We just had gold diggers..and a group of pioneers turned man eaters.. ..and that doesn't include all the Cougars at the bar, or those stalking hikers up by the Quicksilver mines

And as for my reference to Enchanted rock in TX. we used to have something similar here in the Almaden valley..until some greedy developers decided to turn the area into a Golf course..figures..
