I was eating at Taylor's in SF last week and saw this couple there and the guy reminded me of Ron Conway.

This was taken in public so I'm not a stalker, just someone who loves Silicon Valley almost as much as reading Hollywood news

Doesn't look like him in the Taylor's pic

Agree, am far more impressed in seeing a SV legend like Conway live, rather than any entertainer

Will more likely see many top tech guys like Conway or Jobs or Andreessen or Ellison or Brin/Page at mundane places in PaloAlto or Menlo, not SF....places like Old Pro, Evvia, Kaygetsu, VillagePub, WholeFoodsPA, etc....most of those guys despise SF as a tourist suburb for communist non-engineers/hard-core tech guys pretending to be too "cool" for SiliconValley's suburban sprawl, workaholic office campuses and car-centric lifestyle

You'll also see them at hipster / niche / artisinal places in the City. They don't shun the City per se. But they avoid the more mainstream spots. Also, there is a generational aspect. The old farts are more into the mentality of T.J. Rodgers ("I don't do 415") whereas the younger ones are more savvy of the overall megacity and are not so parochial "South Bay only" in mentality.
