cost of electronics in san jose (travel, house, companies)

Hello All

I'd like to ask you. How expensive is electronics staff (laptops, MP3, Ipod, etc.) in San Jose? Is it cheapper than in other place of USA?
I'm going to spent my holliday in USA (I' student from Poland) I know you have cheaper electronics (laptops, MP3, Ipod, etc.), I want to buy a lot of things, tahat is the reason why I;m looking for cheapest place to buy things like this

I wouldn't recommend someone traveling from another country buy anything at Fry's. They have a bad reputation for selling broken stuff over and over and over. I'd hate to see him get back to Poland and find out his purchase died.

Yes, be aware when you buy things at Fry's. Don't buy any thing with the brand GQ at Fry's either, it is their house brand and is of bad quality.

I've never heard that electronics here are cheaper than the rest of the country. I pretty much buy those items at chain stores like Best Buy, Fry's, Comp USA, Wal-Mart, RadioShack, etc. Since they are chain stores, I figure the price would have to be consistent across the country. Maybe they are cheaper than Poland? You can go on those stores' websites and look at the prices yourself. I think just because we have alot of tech companies does not mean our electronics are significantly cheaper.

I think the assumption of the cheaper electronics here is because of all the high tech stuff HQed around here.
