Well, it happened again....Both San Jose and San Fran ranked highly in the latest dating poll on Best Cities to Meet Men. I have seen this on the Forbes list, Men's Health, and now Marie Claire.

Are the single, straight 30-something men in the Bay Area as plentiful and high quality as they say?

Opinions from either gender appreciated. Thanks.

Like most women, I am interested in meeting nice, educated, cultured (appreciate the arts), respectful men in their 30's....who approach women and are friendly.

I have heard that SJ was a horrible place for dating, but that was from men who complained about the male/female ratio.

Suspect any place with ~2-3 million people (SF&SV or Manhattan) and a lot of young, Stanford/Harvard-educated professionals will have plenty of opportunities to meet others

Just like NYC, many of the highest-achieving <40yo guys in SV are workaholics, so unlikely to meet them in the usual places where less ambitious, middle-income, 40hr/wk workers may hang out

Many of the top engineers live in PA area until they semi-retire in their 30s or so...and, in their leisure, some begin to cultivate cultured hobbies like wine, food, art, cars, planes, etc...by then, they're more likely to be found living either up in SF's PacificHts or, more likely, down on LA's Westside, a far more hedonistic playground for young retirees than anywhere in SF region

Get over it . There are about 6 million people living in the Bay Area and about half of them are men. I'm sure you could find someone. You sound awfully insecure.
