Water in front of my house
Hi Spartans...
Almost Every other day my neighbor washes the car in his drive way. The water comes out on the road and stagnates in front of my house. I am clueless on what to do. Does the san jose streets have storm drains on all streets? I couldn't find one in front of my house (on the street).
Any suggestions?

There are no doubt storm drains at various points on your street. The problem, from your description, is that the gutter is not correctly graded to allow water to move. Maybe due to uneven settling or due to pot holes. Contact public works.

That, and this guy wastes too much water washing his car all the time. Seems the SJ Water Co. just sent notices out about this stuff just a few months ago.

Standing water is not good from a public safety standpoint. Contact the city and tell them.

Okay, first of all does this person really wash their car 'every other day'?
Assuming that you're not exaggerating, then the water dept. for your area would want to know about it, and if their water really is running like that 'all the time' then they will probably send a notice directly to that person.
If, on the other hand, you're exaggerating, and they're really just washing their car once a week or so, then you'll probably just have to live with it, since that's pretty common practice in CA.
