anyone care to tell me about this town? I was offered a nursing position at the hospital. Thinking about relocating.

I can tell you that it's over 150 miles away from San Jose in San Luis Obispo county and that's about all. You probably won't get many responses in this forum since it's about three counties south of SJ in a totally different region of California

Templeton is very small and quiet... the most among the '5 cities' in the central coast area. Pretty pricey... average home cost is probably $600k-$700k but starter homes are less. It can reach 105-degrees in the summer but it's very safe and the schools are great. More inland so the beach is a jaunt. It's a slow pace, growth is kept to a minimum but you can find most things you need within a 20-minute drive either way. You probably need to post this in the SLO (San Luis Obispo) area... also try Paso Robles, Atascadero and Arroyo Grande.

Well, you'll come to appreciate the Cal State Fair in Paso Robles. And the Pozo Saloon for concerts. Not so much the cow-tipping.
