Just wondering, how are you supposed to take an infant on the caltrain or vta bus? use a stroller or keep her on lap?
Have never taken my toddler on a train before and thinking of trying it some time.

Caltrain rules mention nothing about infants or strollers, other than to say that strollers CAN BE stored in luggage areas, but they don't have to be. There are rules about not blocking the aisles so as long as you abide by those you should be fine. Also, if you leave the kid in the stroller you would obviously want it to have a wheel-locking mechanism. I didn't get as far as looking up the VTA bus rules, but I'm sure they are similar, although stowing the stroller in the luggage area might be REQUIRED in that case. I highly recommend using on of those strollers that a car seat can clip into, that way if you have to stow the stroller, you can still have him/her protected within a car seat, instead of just on your lap.
