Where is the best place to find a rental? My husband and I will be moving in 6 weeks - his job is in Santa Clara near the convention center. I'm ok with looking all around the area, Sunnyvale, San Jose, etc., since he doesn't want to commute. We are empty nesters (so, college age kids will visit) - so we don't need great schools - just a great place - 3+ bedrooms - house or townhouse.

What is the rental market like - we are ok with paying up to $3,500 per month. Any other alternatives to Craigslist? Thanks!

Craigslist is the best way to find a rental imo.
Most ads are legit and the ones that aren't are flagged and removed quickly.
Just use caution the same way you would if you were searching in the paper or any other on-line listing and, needless to say, don't send money or financial information unless you know for sure that the person is on the "up and up".

Rentals are very expensive but with your budget, no problem.

With that budget, you might be able to find a townhouse for rent in Rivermark. The entire neighborhood has been built up over the past 7-8 years so you'll find newer construction in that area. It's located just a few minutes drive away from the convention center.

Is there any realtors or relocation companies? Also any good corporate housing companies?
