We're getting a Weck's!
Did anyone else notice the new sign on the old J.B.'s at Cerillos and St. Michael's... looks like Weck's is coming to Santa Fe! If I had to pick one restaurant from ABQ to come up here it probably would not be Weck's, but I'll gladly take it nonetheless.
Now if only we could get a Jack in the Box and a Whataburger!

From the Nov 23, 2010 article More jobs lost as Railyard eatery becomes latest to shut its doors - The Santa Fe New MexicanA planned Weck's restaurant on Cerrillos Road at St. Michael's Drive, in a space formerly occupied by a JB's restaurant, ran into some delays because of remodeling work and the permitting process... is now expected to open the third or fourth week of January...
I doubt I will ever eat at another "Jack in the Box" in my lifetime...

Sonic is good enough for me.
Add an "In and Out Burger" and I'd be done!

Last thing Santa Fe needs is another restaurant. Three or four closed this month. I'll try them out, and I wish them luck. Maybe they have fans here from their ABQ restaurants that will help them make it.

The DFW metro area is getting an In and Out Burger which means the company is probably planning on setting up a DC in the Lone Star State.
You are probably wondering why this matter to NM. Based on the In and Out Burger's fresh philosophy, a resturant has to be within 24 hours from the DC. Albuquerque and Santa Fe are well within a 12 hour's drive from Dallas. There's a good chance we could get one here one day!
There's goes my cholesterol if one comes here!

In'N'Out Burger going to Texas in interesting. It'll be interesting to see what happens. In'N'Out and Whataburger opened close to each other in Kingman, AZ. (The first time they competed against each other) Whataburger closed within a year. (Read an article about that somewhere but can't fin the link now ) And now In'N'Out is planting a flag in Whataburger's backyard... very curious to see how that will play out because from what I understand Texans love their Whataburgers.

Well, I guess Five Guys in Albuquerque hasn't slowed Blake's down very much. FGBAF has an excellent hamburger, I'll give them that but gimmie my Blake's!
As far as Texans and they're Whataburger, most Dallasites aren't from Dallas anymore. The same goes for every major city in Texas and some of the smaller ones too. It seems there's a lot of people moving in there escaping California and Chicago and Ohio and the East Coast. Hence the onset of 5 guy's and now In-and-out.

My hubby is begging for a Jack in the Box like most of you.
I think In'N'Out Burger is the most disgusting thing around to date. Those fries?! With all the STUFF on them?! What is THAT?!
Not terribly impressed with Wecks, either. The Pantry is far more up my alley!

I'll take Bumblebee's for a fast meal any day. Yum-yum! Their roasted tomato salsa is the best...
