Hi,

I am moving to Santa Fe this Summer in hopes of being busy in my profession. I'm in my 40's and a massage therapist. I am wondering if the spas are really slow in the Winter time or if in season I will do well enough to compensate.

Also I have been hearing a lot about the crime being high, are there any areas to avoid?

Any responses are appreciated.

I don't live in SF but visit often (live in Abq). I would imagine that being a massage therapist that winter time would be good. With all the skiers in town they would probably like a good massage after a day of skiing.

Check out a potential massage therapist job at 10,000 Waves- I have friends that have been happy working there:
Ten Thousand Waves - Luxury Mountain Spa Resort - Home

Or my favorite & the best masseuses I have ever found are at:
Welcome - High Desert Healthcare in Santa Fe, NM
They are very busy year-round.

Having had a cabin above Santa Fe for 20+ years I never have considered SF dangerous. Just take normal precautions. Have fun with your new move!
