Wow Towanda, no kidding! I was going through trip advisor last week-end on the look out for new places and that was at the top of my list. It's in the top 10 rated for SF. What did you have if I might ask?

I don't remember. It was several years ago. I know it was so unlike any New Mexican or Tex Mex that I have ever had, that I didn't even recognize the stuff on the menu.
I think my husband liked it okay....but I like chile (usually green) on my New Mex food and I don't recall any items with chile on the menu.
There were a lot of seafood and meat dishes ... I prefer my New Mex/Mex with beans or cheese. I do remember I had trouble deciding what to order, and it was so NOT memorable that I cannot even tell you what I ordered, but it seemed heavy and overpowering.
Santa Fe has SO MANY restaurants that I love .... that I never plan to go back to that one. Adelita's on Cerrillos is also Mexican (not New Mex) and I like their food.
Note: It seems that not many share my opinion. Potrillos was packed the night we were there.

Yes, it's Mexican, not New Mexican, no green chile for you there . I'll give it a try, the price seems right. We'll give Adelitas a try too.

Gotta agree- went there for lunch. Too bad because it's pretty interesting inside, lots of murals and they're very nice.

what?? have you ever tried their fish with the mushroom sauce? sounds weird but is heavenly. Their mole can be either amazing or disappointing (probably depending on that evening's chef).
Some more of my favorites: The pantry (althouhg i hear that their new dinner menu is disappointing, their "buenos dias" is my favorite breakfast of all time - the green chile sauce is amazing!), la clafoutis (sp), horseman's haven (HOT chile, fantastic bacon, karaoke coming soon!), thai cafe, india palace (try their lunch buffet), el farol, corazon (cheap, delicious food served late), whole hog bbq, cowgirl (their pulled pork/beef with bleu cheese is to die for), body cafe, etc., etc. I love the food scene here!
I read once (i think in the reporter) that SF has one restaurant per 50 people....

I love the Pantry too. Haven't been there for dinner.
I guess my current list of top favorites would be: La Choza, Maria's, Tecolote Cafe, the Pantry, The Flying Tortilla, Harry's Roadhouse, Bobcat Bite, and Posa's. I know I am leaving out a lot.
We eat at Whole Hog BBQ quite often. I am from Kansas City but not a BBQ fan -- but I like their pulled pork sandwiches. YUMM

Is Paul's still open? THAT was exceptional food. Also I very much enjoyed Pronzo's but I'm not sure if that's still open either. Been a while since I've been to Santa Fe. I had a very enjoyable meal in the restaurant at the Hilton near the plaza.

Tonight we ate at Piccolino's Italian Restaurant in Santa Fe.
I was skeptical about getting good Italian food in Santa Fe, but it was fantastic! It was our first vist there, but we will go back often to try more of the selections on their extensive menu.

The Jambo cafe- corner of Cerillos and St Michaels, in the strip mall with the Petco store in it. Hands down the best food we've eaten in SF.
