Question Santa Fe -- live and launch #17

CNN Money just picked Santa Fe as number 17 in its list of best places to live and launch a business.

100 best places to live and launch - 17. Santa Fe (17) - FORTUNE Small Business

Frankly, I don't take these lists too seriously, but this sort of thing gets published here, so why not.

Rio Rancho, the City of Vision, is #83.

Actually, they picked the metro areas first, seemingly based on some sort of data, and then picked the best municipality within the metro area, as a judgment call.

So you could say it was Santa Fe MSA #17, Albuquerque MSA #83.

And I guess if you take these rankings seriously then it is for starting a business -- not necessarily where it would be best to relocate an existing business or to put a plant or other facility for an existing business.

Nice recognition for Santa Fe. I guess the city must be doing something right.
