Default New Years in Santa Fe

I don't see any similar posts and I apoligize if this post is off topic to this forum but I'm having a hard time finding any other Santa Fe forums or information sources for New Years dinner and events. We live in Farmington and are spending New Years in Santa Fe with my parents who are visiting from out of state. I really need to make dinner reservations soon before everything is booked but I am completely lost. I am looking for a nice and relaxed setting that is more about atmosphere and fun than world famous and uber expensive food. I'm not looking for cheap...expensive is okay as long as it comes with a great dose of fun. Decent food, great drinks and live music in an interesting setting are our main goals. Somewhere we can stay through the midnight hour that will be a lively bringing in the new year. Either that or a nice restaurant that is close walking distance to live music venue/bar that 55yrs old will feel comfortable.

Default Santa Fe restaurants--->

These were recommended to me:

Geronimo, modern American food at Santacafe (all one word) or Mediterranean food at Aqua Santa.

You could take them to Packard's On the Plaza...a former Native American trading post and look at the silver & turquoise jewelry and hand woven Navajo rugs. Another place would be Todos Santos where you can buy chocolate wrapped in whimsy packaging and paper-mache containers.

Happy New Year!

If you enjoy Tapas try El Meson De Espana, wonderful food, fun environment. There is 315 formerly Bistro 315, excellent French cuisine. And you can't go wrong with Geronimo.

Default New Year's Eve in Santa Fe

There is a wonderful dinner/ball for Kitchen Angels, a nonprofit that serves meals to homebound (all volunteer). It's expensive ($150 per ticket) but goes to a good cause. Includes dinner, drinks and live music by The Soul Deacons - a very wonderful local cover band that plays mostly soul and funk. Very danceable and highly entertaining. All is being held at the Scottish Temple which is also a beautiful setting. The theme is "black and white ball".

I am going with friends and highly recommend it. Call Kitchen Angels in Santa Fe and hope to see you and your family there!
