The poor locals. The unfortunates -- every year the resale value of their home goes up. If only if they could live in Flint, where they couldn't give their house away.

They have to look forward to an affluent retirement -- when they could be impoverished. A human tragedy.

My resale value was going up until the last year. Now it has sunk quite a bit.

I'm sure this will change in a few years and go back up to where it was.

1. the recession will end;
2. the Baby boomers will retire;
3. the alternatives are crowded
3. prices in SF (and NM) will go thru the roof

Congratulations, this is a long time coming and I know you'll love it. This is an excellent time to move, as the flowers and greenery in the Plaza are just bursting with color. Enjoy the food, the new friends, the scenery, and Welcome to New Mexico! Have a safe trip and say goodbye to those tornadoes!

Nice! If you are correct, all this will happen just in time for me to retire from Fanta Se, sell my overpriced Fanta Se mud hut, and then find a nice lake cabin somewhere woodsy away from all the teeming throngs of needy Baby Boomers. Sounds like a plan to me.

I honestly believe that I am correct. And people who hate Santa Fe and own a house here are to be envied -- they can get out with money. Seriously -- would you rather be in Flint?

It is those of us who like Santa Fe who have a problem -- we can't cash in.

But if you are worried about "teeming throngs" then you need to be careful where you go -- because many many places are more crowded than Santa Fe.
