Santa Fe or Flagstaff - Flagstaff or Santa Fe?
Flagstaff or Santa Fe - Santa Fe or Flagstaff?
If you had the the opportunity to live in either Flagstaff AZ or Santa Fe NM which would it be - why? I would really like to find someone who has lived in each (or currently resides, etc.).
I make a solid salary and understand the real estate issue (no need to ramble on about high costs of living, etc.).
I am much more interested in the 'vibe' of each and or which is best (arts, music, individual happiness, personal growth, spiritual, outdoor activities, community, family, friendly, weather, what ever, etc.
Also as I am a single, 40 yr old, HETROsexual male - is there anything to be said about the dating community?
Thanks so much - thinking of moving again.

Well....life would be good at that rate! No, I have a job opportunity in both towns. Just trying to find the better of the two.

I live in Santa Fe.
It was my dream for almost 40 years to come here to live. I would not choose to live anyplace else in the country.
To me this is the perfect place ... but we are all different.

Maybe if you ask people in other states (neither NM or AZ)?

Other states? Not sure what you re implying here. I am looking for some one who has lived in Flagstaff and SF. I posted this thread in both NM and AZ. Are you out there?

Between the two, I would pick Santa Fe, hands down. That being sad, Flagstaff is not a bad place. But nothing compares to Santa Fe.

But why? Do you have any experiences in both - good/bad/indifferent? Nothing compares to San Francisco, Kalispell, NYC, London.......either so they say.

Have you been to both places to visit? What were your own feelings about both towns?

MD,
I should not even be throwing my 2 cents in, as I have never lived in either area. However, I have had the opportunity to spend some time in both towns. While I enjoyed both places, Santa Fe seemed to match my natural vibrational level much better. I just felt a bit more comfortable in Santa Fe and I cannot explain all the reasons why. I guess one could say it felt a bit more like "home" to me.
My goal was to move to Santa Fe in 2008, but due to many personal set backs, I am shooting for 2009. I was also considering Fort Collins, CO (my sister lives in FC), but Santa Fe is the place for me.
They alway say go with your gut feeling (something I have ignored wayyyyy to much!!!!). So, this time that is what I will do!
Matt
