(Were you asking this question of Vinegaroon or everyone? )
Well, I would have to say THIS is the best place I have ever lived -- and that is because I dreamed of getting here for so many years a-- and it has turned out to be even better than I could have imagined all those years.
I spent only one year living in ABQ -- but it was totally cool .....so I would say it is in second place.
I spent nine years in San Antonio, Texas -- which I liked very much -- but the summer heat was just too oppressive to deal with, so I would not live there again. Nice people there, though...
I grew up in a wonderful little tiny town in upstate New York, which is my childhood home. But there is not very much to do there and I think now I would feel frustrated about that if I lived there.
The other places where I have lived I just didn't form any attachments to.
Interesting responses! I can only relate to the living in Minneapolis. However, I have been fortunate enough to have been to all (except Towanda's small NY town) of the locations listed.
For me, I guess I would have to say Brisbane, Australia certainly ranks at or near the top. Although, I certainly enjoyed my summers in Alaska as well. A place that I absolutely love (never lived, but....) Victoria (Vancouver Island) British Columbia.
I must admit, I look forward to a new adventure in Santa Fe!
New job!? (doing what I have no idea?!) New culture!! New People!!!

However, the correct response to your question will always be: No matter where you are, there you go.
Since you love snow that much, you can fly up here and help me brush off and move a couple hundred vehicles, in near zero temperatures.
