Don't worry about getting your place sold! Just remember, no matter how difficult it is, someone else would trade places wih you in a second!!

I was planning on moving to Santa Fe in 2008!

I had my place ready to sell last spring, then....... We had a severe hail storm that ruined my siding and roof. 2 weeks later came the flooding!!! After FEMA and Insurance, I am still repairing my house! (Thank God I am handy!!) I had a guy hired to put on the siding, as I have been very busy, and 6 months later I still have a house without siding. I knew I should have done this myself last summer/fall, but now it is winter in the midwest (Cold and no daylight left when I get home!).

Just go with your feelings and everything will fall into place!!

Best of luck!!
Matt

ExSIGirl - As for your questions:
Mail Center? Is that the same as a Post Office? Do you have to pick up mail at a central location? The Mail Center is a combination UPS/FedEx/Mailing Supplies place that also has mail rental boxes and a branch of the USPS for stamps, mailings, etc. I don't live in Eldorado so I'm not positive, but I believe that mail is delivered to individual houses there. In some adjacent subdivisions there are centralized mailboxes where residents pick up their mail.
What is exit 290? That's the exit off I-25N you would take to go down Hwy 285 (about one mile) to Eldorado.
what sort of HOA fee is involved in Eldorado? How is it calculated? how frequently does it go up and by how much, usually? is the water fee included or is that folded into the property tax? I think the HOA fee for Eldorado is $380 per year (i.e. really low). Someone who lives there can tell you how frequently it goes up and by how much. Water fees are separate and are not folded up into the property tax; you pay an amount dependent on your useage.

Did I miss anything?

That one last night was really good -- I'm not sure if I prefer the red fiery ones or the pink pastel ones like we had last night.
I think I'm partial to the winter red fiery ones. I'll always drop what I'm doing and take a look. I hope I never get used to the sunsets.

Oh no, Xavious, What a story. Believe me, I worry all the time about a disaster striking before we get out. Good luck to YOU with getting out of where you are.
