I've decided to move to Santa Fe this Thursday, Oct 22. So now, looking for inexpensive efficiency in Santa Fe in a SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD!

I'm sure you've probably checked the New Mexican, The Reporter and craigslist. Rents have dropped a lot so I think you can find something affordable. My daughter found a nice little casita a few blocks from the Plaza for $650.

You could also consider the Pojoaque valley just north of Santa Fe City and still in the county. Various people have estates or compounds and rent out very nice little places at reasonable prices to responsible people. It is very pleasant and very safe and a more rural open atmosphere if you like that. You'd need a car, however.

While walking around downtown yesterday, I saw a few "for rent" signs in the Canyon Rd/Palace area.
