Not sure why that would make me "lucky." I don't know him and don't really care one way or the other.

There are many many guns, esp AK 47's in New Mexico. This is The West. These guns are a favorite target of thieves as one reads about this in the police section of our local paper every day. These guns are smuggled into to Mexico and sold to drug cartels. This is not a joke. The local paper recently reported that our police chief and deputy police chief have resigned because, for one juvenile crime is out of control here. La Posada customers were recently reported as targets of juvenile assaults. La Posada is one of the most exclusive resorts in Santa Fe. The police are frustrated because no sooner are the juveniles sent home than they are out robbing again. The New Mexican [hope this isnt an advertisement] reported this week that one juvenile burglarized over 80 homes. Fire Dept. also described as "Mass Exodus". What can you expect when our city politics are heavily influenced by very wealthy left wing extremists who are essentially anti-police and have the means to buy security guards and state of the air security systems for their homes. I was on the bus yesterday and overheard one of a group of 3 juvenile bragging that he was charged with arson, assault, auto theft, etc. after stealing a BMW and joyriding near SFCC, assaulting the owners and I don't know how arson came into it. He seems quite proud in describing is jail experience and his buddies who looked quite respectable seemed to regard him as a very cool hero. ....what can you expect in a place where the rich liberals have seized the rustic old conservative Catholic hometown of the generally lower income locals and inflated real estate prices to the point that most locals have been forced to the edge of the city or to Albuqerque. This is the last scene in the conquest of the old peoples of the American West--and the invaders often snub the locals. Imagine this happening in your hometown. How would you feel to be driven out and looked down upon? It's like the Native American saga Final Chapter.
Why dont' you give us links to these supposed "articles" ok?
thanks.

Maybe E. Gustafsen needs to move to Austin (where I live) he'd freak out. Wouldn't know what to make of it. Hm...well...since Hubby and I have been pining for Santa Fe but can't really afford to move there yet, I want to get your opinion, truly, if the juvenile delinquency is that out of control??

Default What do you not like about Nashville

Hello,

I now live in the Pasadena rea of Southern California but my best friend lives in Nashville and wants me to move there. I love Country Music but just not sure what Nashville is all about. As you know Southern California has so many places to go and great shopping and great restaurants. Give me your idea of Nashville? Is there any culture and good shopping and places that you can drive to for a weekend getaway? How is the weather and do they get a lot of tornados? I have bad sinus problems and I think it may be from the very dry climate here in So Cal, maybe more humidity will help not sure.

Thanks for any info.

JM

I've lived in SF most of my life and have never had the need for a gun. I had my house broken into once, and it was my fault (covered a broken window with a cardboard so I could go out for New Year's!).
