The Santa Fe top 10
I thought I would start a post describing the top 10 reasons why I love and fell in love with Santa Fe and its environs. So here goes. (and nobody laught!)
10. The fantastic history of the region
09. Christmas time along Canyon Road
08. The way the city looks at sunset coming from any direction.
07. The real and true home of the best southwestern cuisine along with Albuquerque.
06. The quaint downtown streets on a cool and calm evening.
05. The unique cultural diversity
04. Having a wonderful selection of restaurants and stores without living in the big city.
03. Real and faux Adobe architecture
02. The amazing smell that oozes come winter time.
01. Making people a bit jealous that I call Santa Fe home!

Oh, great idea. Here's my top ten in no particular order:
1. The weather and lack of humidity
2. The small town feel combined with fantastic restaurants and world class activities (opera, skiing, etc.)
3. The food. Ah, green chili.
4. Year round sun.
5. The amazing vistas when driving in the region. My particular favorite is at the top of La Bajada between SF and ABQ.
6. The farolitos along Canyon Road and the Plaza at Christmas
7. No grass to mow
8. Wonderful and historic adobe buildings
9. The twisty turny SF streets with little shops hidden everywhere
10. The outdoor lifestyle

Of course, I'm sure you meant "chile," not chili.

Funny, those are the exact reason/s I am choosing to move to Santa Fe. Although, I have not as of yet, witnessed Canyon road at Christmas.
Are you sure we are not related?!? lol

Oh no. My East Coast heritage took over and caused me to misspell chile. Yikes! I guess my attempts to pretend I'm a native New Mexican have been set back another year or two. Sigh.

We might be, you never know! I think you'll have to look me up when you move to SF and I'll take you on a tour of my favorite places.
