No, they do not require that signs be posted in the front yard of sex offenders in New Mexico.

What state in the US requires that?

The2ofUs is on a distinguished road
The Family Watch Dog is another sex offender website where you can locate offenders by zip code. After you enter the pertinent information (street, city, state, or zip) a map of all the offenders will appear. Just "zoom in" and you will be able to see the actual street names. The site is located at: National Sex Offender Registry

An even better site by The United States Department of Justice National Sex Offender website is located at United States Department of Justice National Sex Offender Public Website Once you 'accept' their conditions of use you can search by offender name - address - or simply by zip code. This site even provides a PHOTO of the criminal.

Hope the information is helpful.

These lists can be a joke. Those that are registered are everything from serial rapists to an 18 year old convicted of statutory rape for having sex with his 15 YO girlfriend. I hate lists like this that pigeonhole people. I think only violent offenders should be listed and only certain crimes.

Agreed. The worst example I heard of was a guy taking a leak outside a bar. At least in one state that is indecent exposure and a sex crime.
